- Duration: 4 days on site
- Scope: Hallway and stair return
- Materials: Selective strip-back, lime reinforcement coats, breathable finish
Case Study · Central London
Dense cement patches were carefully removed and replaced with breathable layers to stabilise a historic wall assembly.
Hard modern repairs were cracking and pushing moisture to adjacent softer plaster, causing a patchwork of recurring defects.
We carried out selective opening-up, removed only failed cement zones, and reinstated with a breathable build-up matched to original character.
Cracking reduced significantly and the repaired zones integrated visually after redecorating with compatible paint.
"Methodical and respectful of old fabric. No unnecessary overspec."
